Summer is upon us and now is the time to slow down a little and enjoy life. With all the travels and fun ahead, I hope you also take a moment to breathe and ask yourself, “Where do I see or experience a God Moment?”
What do I mean by a God Moment? A God Moment could be any place or experience where you feel God’s presence. It could be a sunrise or sunset. Perhaps you have a moment while visiting a cathedral or watching dolphins play. Your God Moment could be your garden full of veggies or maybe two hands clasped together. Perhaps you experience God in the laughter of children or in a bird’s nest outside your front door. Your God Moment is that moment where you feel a divine presence or sense of peace, or find yourself overwhelmed with great joy. I hope you have many of these experiences this summer and I hope you document them by taking pictures and sending them to the church.
Why? Because we are going to make a few special, “God Moment” posts on social media over the summer with a collection of our church members’ photos.
There are a couple of rules. First, we cannot post photos of people who are NOT Eden UCC members and who have NOT signed our social media waiver. We value the privacy of others and we post only photos of those who give permission. Second, all photos will need to be approved by our social media team before being posted. This ensures that a photo is of good quality so everyone may enjoy your moment.
I hope you start opening your eyes and your hearts to experiencing God in your midst and seeing what beautiful and wonderful things God is putting before you as you enjoy this summer.
I cannot wait to see your photos!
